History of Atemajac Lodge No. 29
Atemajac Lodge No. 29 emanated from Guadalajara Lodge No. 5 after complying with the constitutional administrative requirements, in 1982 the Lodge received its Dispensation Letter authorizing to start its masonic commitments in the Spanish language.
Its first officers were Santiago Gonzalez, Manfred W. Koch and Giberto Medrano. Since its beginnings, its hall has been located in the corner of Regina Street and Montevideo Avenue in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
Atemajac Lodge No. 29 has helped to the constitution of Zamora Lodge No. 33, Puerto Vallarta Lodge No. 34 and Armonia Lodge No. 36.
From the Lodge have four Grand Masters of the Most Worshipful York Grand Lodge of Mexico F.&A.M. Ricardo Hijar, Eduardo Velasco, Luís Jimenez and Jesus Campos.
Our Lodge is part of the treaty of fraternal relations that allows the full coexistence in peace and harmony between brothers both York and Scottish Rite in Guadalajara, Jalisco, specifically between our Grand Lodge and the Grand Logia Occidental Mexicana.
This treaty has the purpose of knowing, discovering and re-discovering the most profound masonic sense, taking off all discrepancies and fomenting all that make fraternal stripes for present and futures times.
Atemajac Lodge No. 29 promotes between members the deepest fraternity based in the tenets of tolerance and respect.
