History of Black Rose Lodge No. 40

Fundamental Masonic education teaches men must struggle by achieving the best life quality from a spiritual, mental, moral and human perspective, with this intension Black Rose Lodge No. 40 born. The name of the lodge was decided by agreement of the majority in October 2018. 

On April 2017, a group of Masons of the Scottish Rite in Chihuahua's City, analyzing its current situation, mainly about how the leadership had become in authoritarianism, decided to seek and find a new way, a formal institution that allows them to fulfil with the Masonic purposes.  

It is how this group of Masons started a communication with the Most Worshipful York Grand Lodge of Mexico F.&A.M. in order to know the process to establish a York Rite Lodge in Chihuahua's state. 

The Grand Lodge provide that, those applicant brothers must restart its Masonic career in a previously chartered Lodge of the jurisdiction, in this case, Monterrey Lodge No. 13, who fraternally accepted to help the brothers in order to reach its goal. 

Once these brothers were achieving Master Mason Degree, they started the process to chart its own Lodge in Chihuahua. It is how the former Black Rose Lodge U.D. consecrated its temple on November 10, 2018.

During the Anual Grand Communication of 2020, Black Rose Lodge U.D.  obtained its Charter Letter with the number 40. Receiving this file represents a commitment of preserving the Masonic principles of study, research, question, being positive, strengthen the spirit, fight for just causes, exalt virtue and reject vices, among others.

 

Black Rose Lodge No. 40's members have worked for another Lodge's foundation in Ojinaga town, Chihuahua, called Luz de Ojinaga Lodge U.D. intending to contribute to the consolidation of the Freemasonry in the state.
