The York Grand Lodge of Mexico F.&A.M. is aware of the relevance of the youth in society, as a consequence, after the 159th annual communication, the Grand Lodge agreed to reactivate its DeMolay Chapters in Mexico, which dates from 1954 and remains as active until the earthquake of 1985.
In connection with the strategy developed by the National Masonic Foundation for Children related to the physical and mental health of our children after having the approval and full support of Grand Master Bohn and the International Executive Officer Christian Moore, the York Grand Lodge of Mexico F.&A.M. is pleased to announce its sponsorship to the "Tenochtitlan Chapter of the Order of DeMolay", which will take place in Mexico City and will operate under DeMolay International.
This effort is intended to support the next generations of men, instilling in them the virtues of filial love, reverence for the sacred things, courtesy, comradeship, fidelity, cleanness and patriotism; with those virtues, Masons are pretty sure our young will build a country more free, fair and prosperous for everyone.
The Order of DeMolay is the International Association for Young dedicated to providing guidance and assistance to teenagers who decide to strengthen their character and build a defined personality while having fun and learning together as members of the largest fraternity for young people in the world.
DeMolay came to light in 1919 in the United States of America. It was founded by Mr Frank S. Land in Kansas City, Missouri after meeting Louis Lower, a teenager whose father had recently died to whom he offered life-guidance and relief.
